Notes on Wednesday’s acting class. Theatre 126. University of Kentucky. Fall 2016.
Professor Matthew J Schneck. These incomplete notes are not endorsed or

Seven more poems performed
On Monday, a third of the people in the class performed their poems. Today,
another third went.
Tanner performed A Dream Within a Dream by Edgar Allen Poe. Schneck’s
modification: he turned off all the sources of light or sound in the room, so
on Tanner’s second do, the room was pitch black and silent. Tanner also chose
to say it in a spooky scary way, all that added together into a nice treat for
us the listeners.
Isabel performed a shortened version of Girl by Jamaica Kincaid. I liked
the poem and her performance, but I can’t think of any lessons from it.
