Lexington Restaurants

2016 September 24. Saturday.

Luci wrote a post about Bowling Green restaurants.

Some places in Lexington Kentucky that I recommend eating at, assuming you have unlimited money.

Portofino

Near the intersection of High Street and Main Street.

Italian and American cuisine. Other people at my table ordered different fish dishes and they said they liked them. I ate delicious veggie lasagna. Also I ate an apple & goat cheese salad first, and tiramisu for dessert. Super expensive. Service is good. I think I remember nice napkins.

The Sage Rabbit

Near Euclid Kroger.

Good outside seating. Relaxed, but classy. Most of their vegetables in the summer come from local farms. I recommend the Garden Plate.

Goodfellas

On North Mill Street off of E Main Street.

Giant pizza slices. Pretty good veggie pizza. Everything is very fresh, less than ten minutes out of the stove during rush hour. Their slices are not “loaded” though, lots of empty space between mushrooms. Pretty cheap.

Sav’s Grill

At Maxwell and Limestone, the northern end of UKY’s campus.

West African Cuisine. The guy and his family moved here from Guinea here I think about eight years ago. I ate spicy bean mush (like curry) poured over plantain mush (like mashde potatoes). Super super tasty and pretty cheap.

Go eat!
