How to Play Euchre (Part 3)

Remember that Euchre is a card game played with 9 through Ace. It’s four-player, two teams. The first team to get ten points wins.

At the start of a round, if you tell the dealer to pick it up or you choose the trump suit, then we say that your team called it.

If your team calls it and you get 3 or 4 (out of 5 possible) tricks, then your team gets 1 point.
If your team calls it and you get 5 tricks, then your team gets 2 points.
If your team calls it and the you get only 0, 1, or 2 tricks, then the other team gets 2 points.
If you go alone and get 3 or 4 tricks, then you get 1 point.
If you go alone and get 5 tricks, then you get 4 points.
If you go alone and only get 0, 1, or 2 tricks, then the other team gets 2 points.

Shuffle all 24 cards and deal them out one at a time in a circle. The first person to get dealt a black jack does the first deal.
